CK frequently performs emissions testing programs designed to demonstrate the VOC destruction efficiency of emission control oxidizers. The typical scope of testing includes measuring the volumetric flow rate and VOC concentration at the inlet and outlet of the subject oxidizer. Testing generally includes the use of EPA Test Methods 1-4, 25A (inlet) and 25A/18 (outlet) contained in 40 CFR 60, Appendix A – Test Methods.

Frequently VOC capture efficiency of each permanent total enclosure (PTE) will be evaluated against the criteria contained in EPA Method 204.

In addition, components of the facility’s solvent piping system may be evaluated for leaks using EPA Method 21.
